Wiesmann was founded in 1984 by Martin and Friedhelm Wiesmann (hence the "MF") as a manufacturer of car parts.
In 1993 they showed their first own vehicle, the Wiesmann Roadster.
It was a compact roadster with technics taken from BMW, especially the engines.
