The Volkswagen Lupo was a mini-car below the VW Polo and launched in 1998.
It was built until 2005 and replaced by the Volkswagen Fox.
The Lupo 3L was a modified Lupo with reduced weight, improved aerodynamics and a
optimized 1.2l turbodiesel engine. All these modifications lowered the fuel
consumption to 3.0l/100km (78,4mpg). But it was also the reason for its high price,
and that's why the Lupo 3L didn't sell very well.
