The 181 was a multipurpose
vehicle with offroad abilities. It was still based on the VW
Beetle/Käfer (aircooled rear engine).
The 181 was built between 1969 and 1979. About 15,250 of the 181 were
used by the German Federal Armed Forces ("Bundeswehr").
The car on the pictures was built in Mexico.
