This was the first production car of Volkswagen after WWII. Until 1953 the Beetle
had the small read window also called "Brezelfenster" (= pretzel window)
The "Export" was the better equipped version (better than the "Standard") of the VW Beetle.
The Beetle was built until 1978 in Germany and until 2003 in Mexico. The Beetle was imported from Mexico to Europe until 1985.
The Cabriolet with 4 seats was built by Karmann. It was built until 1980.
