This was the first production
car of Volkswagen after WWII. Until 1953 the Beetle had the
small read window also called "Brezelfenster" (= pretzel
window)
The Beetle was built until 1978 in Germany and until 2003 in
Mexico. The Beetle was imported from Mexico to Europe until
1985.
The car on the pictures was built in 1947 and used by the US
Armee in Germany.
