Tatra is a Czech car and truck manufacturer, founded in 1850, and producing cars from 1897.
The production of cars ceased in 1998, today Tatra still produces trucks.
The Tatra 87 is the successor of the Tatra 77, a aerodynamic research vehicle.
The 87 was a very early production vehicle with a streamline body. It was succeded by the Tatra 603.
