Ordered by the Greenpeace organisation in Germany, the Swiss "Swissauto" developed a
prototype based on the Renault Twingo. The project started in 1993, and was first shown in 1996.
Main objective for this concept was: reducing the fuel consumption as much as possible by keeping the power
output. Therefore the body was modified, featuring a coefficient of drag = 0.25 and a curb weight of only 665kg/1466lb.
All these modifications resulted in a fuel consumption of only 2.5-3.3l/100km (71.3-94.1mpg).
