The Porsche 993 succeeded the Porsche 964. The 993 was still based on the original 1964 Porsche 964.
And it was the last Porsche with an air-cooled engine. For many enthusiasts, it was the last "real" Porsche.
The GT2 was based on the 993 Turbo, but with reduced weight and increased power, a car for the race-track.
Time on the Hockenheimring: 1;14,2min (430hp).
Time on the Nürburgring ("Nordschleife"): 8:09,3min (430hp)
