Main critics of the 924: the engine (from VW) and the boring design. Therefore Porsche modified the body
and installed a halved V8 from the 928 and the 944 was born.
The 944 Turbo Cup was a racing series for the 944 Turbo Cup Coupe, which was
very close to the production 944 Turbo.
