The Porsche 924 was thought as a successor to the VW-Porsche 914, but Volkswagen
dropped out of the project and Porsche developed the 924 on its own.
The 924 hat an 4 cylinder engine from Volkswagen. This and the simple body was the
reason that the customer couldn't accept it as a true Porsche. This specific car was a prototyp, used as a rally car at the 1979 Rally Monte Carlo.
