The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was the first 911 wearing the "Carrera"-badge. When launched, it was a real
supercar and the fastest production car in Germany. Typical for this Carrera: the rear wing, also called "Entenbürzel/ducktail"
The Carrera was a modified version of the Porsche 911, with lighter body parts, reduced interior and a tuned engine,
it was built to homologate for the Group 4.
The Carrera RSR 2.8 was based on the Carrera RS 2.7, modified to be sportier and faster. The engine displacement
was increased and it was tuned again. Only a few were built, some of them street-legal.
