The Porsche 356 built between 1950 and 1955 is also called "356 Pre-A".
It was the first Porsche built in Stuttgart, Germany, succeeding the 356/2, which was built in Gmünd, Austria.
The 356 Pre-A was succeeded by the 356A (1955-1959), the 356B (1959-1953) and the 356C (1963-1965).

This Coupe was named "Ferdinand" and was a gift for professor Ferdinand Porsche at his 75th birthday.
