The Porsche Typ 64 was created on the chassis of a Volkswagen Typ 60 (the later VW "Beetle").
It was built for the race "Berlin - Rom" and to promote the "KdF-Wagen" (Kraft durch Freude = strength through joy).
Three were built with this streamline body but only one survived until today.
The VW Typ 60 K10 // Porsche Typ 64 was the archetype for the later Porsche 356, Ferdinand Porsche
took some ideas from it for his first own car.

This car is the only surviving Porsche Typ 64.
