The Opel Calibra succeeded the Opel Manta B (1975-1988). At its presentation, the Calibra held the
world record for the most aerodynamic body of a production car (cd = 0.26 for the base model).
Technically, the Calibra was based on the Opel Vectra A, sharing suspension, engines and chassis.
