The Kapitän A, Admiral A and Diplomat A succeded the Kapitän P2.6 (1959-1963). Opel promoted them as
"Die großen Drei" (= the big three). The "KAD A" was really comparable to a Mercedes in that time, but due to a
lack of image it couldn't sell in the same number.
