The Mercedes-Benz G-Model was developed in corporation the Austrian Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG, therefore it was built
in the Austrian factory in Graz. The W460 was built until 1992, when replaced by the W461. In 1989 the W463-series was added,
at first, to replace the W460, but then as a additional, more luxury version of the G-Model. The W460/W461 were kept and built until 2001,
because many fans wanted to keep this car, they loved its touch and rugged appearance and offroad abilities.
