The Mercedes-Benz W108/109 S-Class was the successor to the W111/W112 S-Class,
and the predecessor to the W116 S-Class (1972-1980).
The 300SEL 6.3 got the engine from the Mercedes-Benz 600.
This one was modified and tuned by AMG, a small and unknown tuning company at that time.
