The Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W111/W112) was the successor to the W105/128/180 Ponton
Typ 219/220/220S/220SE and the predecessor to the W108/109 S-Class.
The Coupe and Cabriolet based on the W111/W112 S-Class featured an own body,
which looked more like the succeeding W108/W109 S-Class, hence both were produced at the same time
between 1965 and 1971.
