The Mercedes-Benz 300 (1951-1962) was the "Großer Mercedes/Grande Mercedes" of the 50's, the largest
Mercedes-Benz in that time, and the predecessor to the Mercedes W100 600. It became very popular for heads of
government and monarchs, especially the German chancellor Konrad Adenauer used this car.

This car was a one-off built for the testing department of Mercedes-Benz in 1960. It was equipped with measuring equipment
to record the data delivered by test vehicles during the test runs. The data was transmitted by a long cable that connected the sensors of the
test vehicle with the instruments in the measuring car. |
