Basing on the same technically base as the W196R formula 1 race-cars,
the 300SLR took part in the sports car world-championship in 1955.
The 300SLR raced and won the Mille Miglia, Tourist Trophy and Targa Florio in 1955,
it was driven by drivers like Stirling Moss.

This car was part of the Mille Milgia in 1955. It was driven by Stirling Moss, who started at a start time of
7:22 am - which was indicated by the car number 722. They won the Mille Miglia and the number "722" became legendary.
