The Mercedes-Benz 770 (W150) succeeded the Typ 770 (W07). These Mercedes-Benz
were also called "Großer Mercedes" (=The Grande Mercedes), and they were built for the
richest and most important people in the world. The 770 (W150) was very popular
among the Nazis in Germany, therefore this model was built for a quite long time.
And that is the reason why many of the 770 (W150) were armoured. The topspeed of
the armoured 770 (W150) was limited to 80kph/50mph due to the tires.
The first owner of the car on the pictures was Professor Henkel, the aeronautical manufacturer
(The second engine is with the supercharger switched on) Pictures taken in 1997 and in 2009 in the "Cité de l’Automobile – Musée National – Collection Schlumpf" in Mulhouse, France |
