This car is based on the Mercedes-Benz W125 racing car, with a streamlined body and a more powerful engine. It
was driven by Rudolf Caracciola in January 1938 on the autobahn between Frankfurt and Darmstadt, and he reached
the highest speed ever attained on a public road, until today. 432.7kph/268.9mph - the average of two attempts
over one kilometer each.
