The Mercedes-Benz 230 (W153) replaced the Mercedes-Benz 230 (W21). It was a competitor to
the Adler 2.5-Liter or the Opel Kapitän. The beginning of the WWII prevented better sale figures,
but the car lived on in the post-war Mercedes 170S and 220.
