This was the first "Silver Arrow". The car was built for the new 750-kg-formula (1653lb) and originally painted white.
But for the first race at the Nürburgring, it was 1kg to heavy. So they sanded down the paint, and the silver body was exposed.
The car was now allowed to race, it won, and became famous as "Silver Arrow".
