The world famous Typ SS/SSK/SSKL was based on the Mercedes-Benz Typ K, but with a lower chassis and a larger engine.
The Typ SS/SSK/SSKL were the most popular sport cars in that time, and very successful in several road-races, too.
SSK stands for "Super Sport Kurz" (= super sport short).

chassis no. 36045. This is the most original SSK, perhaps the only one to be 100% original. The car was owned by George Milligen once.
