The Modell S/SS/SSK/SSKL were one of the most famous cars ever built by Mercedes-Benz. They were based
on The Typ 400/630/Modell K with a larger engine and a lower frame.
The car on the pictures was originally a Modell S, but after an accident the owner replaced the "Modell S"
engine with a "Modell SS" engine and the car got a new body, too.
(The second engine is with the supercharger switched on)
