The "small" Maybach below the Zeppelin. It was the successor to the SW35 and the predecessor to the SW42.
The engine-size was continuously increased (3.5l -> 3.8l -> 4.2l) to keep the power output at 140hp.
This was necessary because of the decreasing gas quality before WWII.

This car was first delivered in 1938 as a Maybach SW38 with a Pullman-Limousine-body.
In 1950 it was converted into a Ponton-Cabriolet for 38.000DM and it was equipped with the SW42-engine, too.
