The VAZ-2101 was the first model built by AvtoVAZ (Lada). It was a licensed version
of the Fiat 124, but with reinforced suspension and drivetrain. The VAZ-2101 was succeeded by the
VAZ-2105 in 1979 and the VAZ-2105 is built until today.
