The XK180 was hand-built by the
Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations (SVO). They took the
eingine of a XKR (4,0l supercharged
V8 with 370hp) and modified it to achieve an output of
450hp, enough to reach 180mph, the reason for the car's
name.
