The XJ-S had to replace the legendary E-Type. A nearly impossible challange. The XJ-S was launched in 1975,
and in the first years it seemed to be no real success. In 1981 it received a slight facelift and the sales raised.
After a huge facelift in 1991 the production went on until 1996.
