This is the third evolution of the Ford Probe concept. The Probe III
was the prototype for the later Ford Sierra, which looked very similar.
The Probe III was also a research vehicle for aerodynamics, its coefficient of
drag is very low, (cd = 0.22-0.25 depending on source).
