The Dino 308GT/4 was the successor to the Dino 246GT/GTS. The 308GT/4 had a
Ferrari made V8-engine instead the Fiat-made V6 of its predecessor. From the Modelyear 1977 on,
the cars were promoted to be called "Ferrari" and no longer "Dino.
From 1975 the Dino 208GT/4 became available, the car was similar to the 308GT/4 but with
a 2liter V8 engine. In Italy there was a luxury tax for engines above 2liter displacement,
and the 208GT/4 was sold only there.
