GM Daewoo

The Daewoo Group was founded 1967, and since 1982 the Daewoo Motors Divison exists. In 2000 GM bought the Daewoo Motors and in 2005 in many markets the cars were renamed (in EU: Chevrolet) so that "Daewoo" dis- appeared. They did it to introduce "Chevrolet" as a worldwide low-budget brand and to improve the reputation of the daewoo cars.
