The new German Army ("Bundeswehr") demanded for an all purpose vehicle, and Borgward
developed the Goliath Typ 31. But it was not good enough and Borgward improved it to the Typ 34.
Now the car fitted to the requirements of the German Army, but they decided to buy the DKW "Munga". Therefore only few Typ 34 were built.
