Goliath, a sub-brand of Borgward, built cars with 2-stroke engines until 1957. The Goliath 1100
was the first model with a 4-stroke engine, and to improve the image of the car, a all-new brand, "Hansa" was founded.
The Goliath 1100, then Hansa 1100, was built until 1961.
