This prototype was built to demonstrate the abilities of an engine running on liquid hydrogen fuel.
The engine is based on the engine of the BMW 760Li. H2R = "Hydrogen Record Car". Coefficient of drag: cd = 0.21
On the high-speed track at Miramas the BMW H2R set nine international and FIA-ratified records with hydrogen combustion engines.
