The Continental GT was the first Bentley developed under the ownership of Volkswagen.
It had the W12-engine and the technical base of the VW Phaeton.
It was the successor to the Rolls-Royce based Continental R and T. The Continental GTC was the drophead version of the GT.
The Series 51 was available for every Continental GT/GTC version, it was a more
luxury, individual ans special variation of the base model.
