The Auto Union Typ C "Stromlinie" was based on the famous Typ C racecar,
and it was equipped with a streamline body. This car was built to break the world record
for the fastest car on a road street. In the 1930's Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union battled
for this title, and they built one faster car after the other. They drove on the new German
"Autobahn".
