The Audi Rallye Quattro was based on the Audi Sport Quattro.
The Rallye car was built for the Group B Rallye Championship until 1986,
when the era of the Group B ended. The Pikes Peak S1 was developed from it
for the Rallye-event "Pikes Peak". It won it in 1987,
driven by Walter Röhrl. He was the first to finish under 11 minutes. Pictures taken at the "Technoclassica 2009" in Essen, Germany. |
