The Audi 225 Roadster was built for the Berlin Auto Show in 1935. It was based on the Audi Front 225
and it was a sensation. But the price was to high, therefore the car wasn't produced. Only two prototypes were built,
but both got lost. Audi ordered the restorer Werner Zinke in Zwönitz/Germany to built a exact reproduction.
This car uses a original chassis of a Audi Front 225 with a original engine, the body was built from scratch.
There were no blueprints they could use to built this car, they had to find the right body-dimension by using photographes. Pictures taken at the "Technoclassica Essen 2009" in Essen, Germany |
