Amilcar was building cars between 1921 and 1939. Amilcar was mainly building small sport cars in the cyclecar segment.
The company was quite successful, even in motorsport. But after WWII the production was never restarted.
CGS means C Grand Sport. It was a small racecar, competing mainly other cars like the Salmsons.
