In 1956 Zagato unofficially started to rebody some Giulietta Sprint Veloces.
Zagato reduced the weight, therefore the cars performed well in motorsport.
Due to its success, Alfa Romeo picked up the idea and built some oiffical Zagato-Coupes from 1959.
