The Alfa Romeo 8C-Series was developed from the 6C-Models. "8C" stands for 8-cylinder.
The 8C 2300 (incl. 2600) was built between 1931 and 1934 and succeded by the 8C 2900 (1935-1939).
The Alfa Romeo 8C Monza were very successful race cars, they dominated road racing between 1931 and 1937.
