The company that became Alfa Romeo was founded as Società Anonima Italiana Darracq (SAID) in
1906 by the French automobile firm Darracq, with some Italian investors. In 1909, these investors took over
the "SAID" and in 1910 it was renamed to A.L.F.A. (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili). Five years
later the company came unter the direction of Nicola Romeo, and from 1920, the company was renamed to Alfa Romeo.
This car is a predecessor to the first A.L.F.A. cars.
